Today, im media I finished my article draft, also later on today I will be doing my photo shoot. I am going to be using a female model and she will be wearing clothes which relate to an indie genre and she will look like she is an indie singer. She will wear something red which will signify danger and i think that red is important for an indie magazine as it shows danger love and passion which is the look that my model will have. After i have done my photot shoot i will then be able to to create my contact sheet and start talking about the mise en scene of my photoshoot.

One of the most talked about new comers talked about today, her fans have gone crazy. Her hit single ‘come and GO!’ lasted in the UK charts for a staggering 10 weeks, and she has also won an award for best female artist and best album. She is going to tell her about her plans to go big in America.

Hi Lois, how are you doing today?

Well that is good to hear, so let’s get started. I just want to congratulate you on your success I think you have achieved something amazing for a Indie artist, how does it feel knowing you have achieved so much at the beginning
Thank you so much, umm it feel amazing I am just so thankful for people supporting me buying my CD’s downloading my music the feeling is great, all I’ve wanted to do is be a singer and perform for people and I am so excited to be doing this and getting the opportunity to perform for people.

And I hope you carry on feeling this way, so how did you find your love for Indie musicWell indie music isn’t as mainstream as most music genre’s however, it is starting to become very popular with people like Florence and the machine and Ellie goulding taking to the stage. I always loved indie music from a young age because I thought it was different and unique with indie music you can always make it your own style. I’ve always loved singing from a young age I just needed to find my own style and genre and indie is the genre I love most.

That’s great! How do you feel about ‘come and GO!’ being such a great success, why do you think it did so wellWell I write my own lyrics and I think writing your own lyrics is very important as there is always true meaning behind each lyrics which my fans can connect with, I believe if it doesn’t come from within it won’t work.  If you show true feelings and meaning through your lyrics you’ll be able to connect with the song more and the fans will react well to it. I also think it is to do with luck and I am lucky to have had this much success. The feeling is indescribable, and I am so happy with what I have achieved so far, and I hope I will achieve more with the years to come.

And I hope that for you to! How did it feel performing at Reading festival(smiles) oh my god, performing at reading was like a dream come true, it was so weird performing on stage when before I’d be the one in the crowd. The feeling was amazing and the crowd were just fabulous, there vibe was fantastic and I did not want that night to end I just wanted to perform all night.

Sounds fabulous, so rumour has it that you’re going to be going to America, and that American fans have gone crazy for you (laughs) yes, they sure have gone a bit crazy for me and I never imagined that I would become this popular going to America and touring is just amazing and I am so excited to be going on tour to America.

Sounds like you’re going to be away from home for a whileyes, I will be away from home for a long time, and I miss my family and friends a lot, but it is all worth it because this is the dream I have been waiting for since I was age 13 I’m finally doing something that I am good at and I’m finally happy with what I am doing.

Have your friends and family been supportivemy family and friends have been so amazing and so supportive baking me through every decision that I have made. My dad has been my biggest fan I guess you can say I’m a daddies little girl, and he has always wanted me to pursue my dreams. My friends have been amazing, and I get to take some of them with me to America it’s like one big girlie holiday for them, but it’s nice to have them by my side. 

That’s great to hear, so let’s talk about any other types of support you get like the support from a love interest person, it has been rumoured that you and singer Joe miller are together and may be doing a single together(chuckles) Yes Joe and I are together it has been only around five months and we’re just seeing how things are going, but yes the rumours are true we are dating and we will also be doing a single together, actually we’re working on it now and it is coming together really well, he is really talented. Today in meida, i have been working my my article draft, i am aiming for around 800-900 words so that it looks realistic and long. My article is about a new comer Indie artist who's single has gone to number one and stayed there for 10 weeks. I will also be talkng about all her future plans and how she has gone big in America.

I wrote about all the tasks i have done and a small description next to it saying what i had to do and how long it took me to finish, and I wrote about the tasks I still need to do and when I will do it and how long it will take me.

Today I have been focusing on name idea's for my Indie/Rock magazine. I have been using photoshop to create different designs for my name. The name of my magazine will be 'Tune'. The colour of my masthead will be Red as i think it is a signiture colour for an Indie rock magazine.

colour connotation

The colours that I will be using for my magazine are: Red, black, blue and white.

Red- I want to use this colour as I think that it is a catchy colour and will instantly grab the attentions reader. The connotation to red are danger, love and passion.

Black- I want to use the colour black as the colour goes with everything and it is also a colour which is associated with the rock genre.

White-  I am going to use the colour white because it contrasts well with black, it will also make my magazine look sophisticated.

Blue- I am also going to use the colour blue as I think it will contrast well with red. It is also a catchy colour which will grab my readers attention.

Dear diary
I have been carrying on doing my Proposal for my magazine, I finished working on explaining whether my magazine will be successful, i also finished creating my mood board and talking about the target audience. I now need to talk about my audience profile this is where i explain what i found of fromt the poll i took, and i also need to talk about colour connotations, this is where i talk about the colours and what they signify.
